Pre-eruptive Intra-Coronal Resorption: A report of two cases and review of the literature

Pre-eruptive intracoronary resorption is a rare condition mainly affecting pediatric patients. It radiographic finding in the dentin of crown an unerupted tooth just below enamel-dentin junction. visualized radiographs as radiolucent coronal lesion variable depth; it well-defined and located adjacent to amelodentinal limit tooth. Historically, this was misdiagnosed caries misnamed pre-eruptive caries, when reality they were intracoronal resorptions. We present two cases patients that needed for orthodontic purposes. The Oral & Maxillofacial Radiologist detected existence mandibular second premolars molar. These findings provided clinician with advantage knowing before teeth eruption, allowing conservative treatment periodic follow-up.
